5. Nizwa Fort

Nizwa Fort, with its imposing circular tower, stands as a symbol of Oman’s rich history and architectural prowess. Built in the 17th century, the fort served as a seat of governance and a defense structure.

The intricate wooden doors, narrow staircases, and hidden traps showcase the fort’s strategic design. The adjoining Nizwa Souq is a bustling market where visitors can buy traditional Omani handicrafts, spices, and jewelry.

6. Bimmah Sinkhole

Bimmah Sinkhole, a natural depression filled with turquoise water, is a geological wonder located near the village of Dabab. Local legends attribute its formation to a falling star, but it’s actually a result of limestone erosion.

The sinkhole is surrounded by a well-maintained park, making it a popular picnic spot. The clear waters invite visitors for a refreshing swim, and the surrounding cliffs add to the location’s scenic beauty.
